My Pony Snowboards by idontrunntoofast My Pony Snowboards by idontrunntoofast
Well ski season is almost upon us and I have something special to show you! after last season I decided to make my own custom pony-related boards.  and now I have! I base coated these with a hplv gun and then did the details with my airbrush.

...I was planning on taking pictures of these on my first trip but I sorta wanted to post them before :icontsitra360: got his finished and posted. :icontrollface-plz:

20% Cooler Board: a 159 cm Ride all-mountain board
Individual shot:

Pinkie Pie Party Board: 145 cm FreeSport all-mountain board I made as a gift to my sister
Individual shot:

Twilight Sparkle Board: This is a 160 cm Type-a all-mountain board
Individual shot:

I used custom mixed oil based marine grade paints and marine grade clear enamel.
I had B&Z mix the colors for the 20% Cooler board but the other two boards I mixed the colors myself.

To you description readers: I intend to start making a combination of short comics and paintings that will follow Zecora's Journey to Ponyville so if you are interested in that sort of thing stay tuned ;-)

Thank You! I enjoyed working on these... and now I have the coolest boards on the slopes ;-)
You really should! If/when you do paint a board you need to make sure I see it! I am not on DA very often, but if you message me I will see it.

that's awesome, where did you learn to do them?

Trial and error, This was my first real paint project (besides a birdhouse back in grade school ;-) the 20% cooler board was my first one and I actually completely sanded off the paint twice before getting it right. the other two just sort of came together after that. once I had the technique down.
